Through a New Lens: Understanding Gender Identity and Autism
Violence Risk Assessment and Diversity Considerations for Working with Youth

Participants will learn to summarize language that is affirming and non-pathologizing when discussing gender diversity and autism. They will demonstrate knowledge on common barriers to culturally responsive care for Autistic TGD people. Participants will identify at least three actions providers can take to foster culturally responsive and affirming relationships with Autistic TGD people.

Participants will learn an introduction and brief background to violence risk assessment. They will discuss how to apply this knowledge to risk formulation and management and will learn the factors associated with youth’s risk for violence.
