Become aware of the evolving development of the brain from ages 6 until adulthood and how psychoactive drugs can interfere with this process. Become more aware of how alcohol is used in combination with other drugs like nicotine, cocaine and cannabis and the unique effects these combinations have on developing brains.Become more aware of the unique aspects of vaping drugs like nicotine and THC and the impact that this novel route of administration has on the acute and long-term health of our youth.

Understand the current issues for youth living in the digital world. Focus on the impact of social media on mental and physical health along with strategies to counter the negative impact. These strategies include specifics related to different youth youth leaders’ programs and campaigns. Mindfulness as an anecdote to the harms of digital distraction, digital overload, and digital addiction.
