Within a classroom, we have good days, great days, and “those days”. Even when we carefully consider the impact of trauma, the origin of behavior, sensory needs, and work hard to develop a sense of connection, we have “those days”. This workshop will explore ways to identify red flags early and intervene with a trauma-informed approach. Strategies discussed will aim to maintain connection and relationship with and between students while also identifying problematic behavior and holding students accountable through a process of acknowledgement and repair.
