The classroom environment sets the stage for student learning. The more safe and connected students feel, the more ready their brains are to access the curriculum we so carefully plan and deliver. We also know that trauma impacts the ability for people to feel safe and connected, and that more and more students are arriving at school with a history of adverse childhood experiences. This webinar will utilize the concepts of Developmental Trauma and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to identify strategies that can be implemented within the classroom to promote physical, emotional, and cognitive safety and leading to a connected and regulated environment.
