DESCRIPTION

Depression presents in children and teens at home and at school in a myriad of ways. In this hybrid conference, a psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist will present best practices to support youth with depression and prepare them for the future. The discussion will also highlight how to proceed if there is concern that the student might be suicidal.

The afternoon session features a discussion on the benefits of positive psychology. Participants will learn how to feel happier and more confident and help their students to change their moods, minds, and thoughts through physical behavior.
