School Threat Assessment Intensive 2 DAY Workshop- Worcester 1/17 and 1/24

Presenter:

James Barrett, Ph.D., Director of the Clinical Support Unit, Cambridge Police and Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry (part-time), Harvard Medical School.

 

Goal: The goal of this 2-day workshop is to train school personnel on how to assess and triage school threats and create effective response and threat mitigation plans using best-practices based on guidelines from the Secret Service and FBI. 

   

Audience: School personnel; including but not limited to administrators, clinical staff and school resource officers; who are currently on school threat assessment teams or who are potentially involved in threat assessment teams that are yet to be developed are invited to participate.

 

Location: Worcester Academy Performance Center, 14 Marion St., Worcester, MA

Dates: January 17 and 24 

Times: 8:30am- 2:30pm each day​

Only two people per school may register. All registrants must be in attendance for BOTH days.

 

Additional Information

This workshop is free of charge and includes a continental breakfast and lunch.

PDPs will be awarded. CEUs will be awarded, pending approval.
