Exciting News for MPY: New Opportunities, Expanding Programming!

Monday July 2, 2018

As we begin the year of our 30th anniversary as a nonprofit organization, MPY programming is continued to expand. "This is an exciting year for MPY," said Executive Director Margie Daniels. "A number of new public school districts in eastern Massachusetts have become members of Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth. Our presence as a professional development and resource provider has expanded from Middlesex County to Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk counties.  Our conference and in-service workshop offerings are expanding, as we grow and build on our programs, while we maintain the same quality of events that our members expect from us."

MPY will continue to offer the fall Mental Health Series, Prevention Conferences and School Safety Conferences, with highly qualified excellent speakers and current, compelling topics. MPY's conferences will continue to provide Professional Development Points (PDPs) for educators and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for clinicians.

Presentations at school assemblies will continue to inform students on important topics.. Substance use prevention/leadership building conferences, co-sponsored with the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) are continuing in addition to other student conferences. MPY’s poster and public service announcement (PSA) contests opportunities will also increase, especially for younger students.

Conferences for educators, public safety personnel and community organizations include a wide array of prevention topics. Please click here for a listing of conferences. Our registration system may be accessed by clicking here.

MPY member districts will be able to take advantage of an expanded list of In-Service Workshops. These workshops will continue to be presented at school or community site, including evenings. Please click here to see in-service workshops that are offered this year.

The MPY website allows members to have easier access to our prevention resources and event information.  Online registration allows users to register for multiple events, cancel registrations, and access conference materials online.
