Comprehensive School Mental Health Systems: Collecting and Using Behavioral and Psychosocial Data Across All Tiers:

Description: Participants will be engaged in work to understand and strengthen collection of psychosocial and behavioral data to inform work across all tiers of a comprehensive school mental health system (CSMHS). Focus topics will include: reviewing and leveraging existing data to inform action planning and program design; engaging in universal mental health screening; developing behavioral data systems to improve positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS); implementing psychosocial and behavioral progress monitoring; adopting measurement-based care practices; using psychosocial and behavioral data to inform program design and evaluation; reporting out on psychosocial and behavioral outcomes at the student- and system-level; and enhancing supervision and evaluation using psychosocial and behavioral data. Presentations will be accompanied by the provision of resources and engagement in activities to foster and support implementation.
Attendees must participate in all 5 two-hour webinar sessions. A code will given out during each session for accountability purposes. Please hold onto all 5 codes- you will enter them into the PDP/CEU forms. Forms must be completed after the 5th session. PDP/CEU forms are available on the page of the 5th session. You will receive your certificates at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
MPY webinars are available to ONLY current employees of member districts and organizations. Public school memberships include police and fire personnel. Former and retired employees, members of committees including but not limited to PTO/PTA, PAC, School Improvement Councils, Health Councils, Drug/Alcohol Councils and school volunteers are not considered MPY members.
PDPs and CEUs
PDPs are offered for all MPY professional development webinars. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours. Any combination of webinars an individual attends will be used to accumulate PDPs. All 5 sessions of each 10 Hour Webinar must be attended in order to receive 10 PDPs.
PDPs certificates will be issued at the end of the school year for all MPY conferences an individual attends during this school year. PDPs can only be issued to participants who have attended the webinars and submitted the appropriate paperwork. PDP certificates will be emailed to attendees.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for clinical staff, upon approval from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). CEUs are no longer available through the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Inc. (MaMHCA). Approval is granted by the NASW for each event. Event participants may request CEUs by filling out the appropriate paperwork.
