Description: Participants will be engaged in work to understand and strengthen evidence-based services and supports across all tiers of a Comprehensive School Mental Health System (CSMHS). Focus topics will include: methods for fostering social emotional competence through the delivery of SEL curriculum and the use of SEL instructional practices; enhancing mental health literacy; engaging in mental health promotion activities; developing and implementing group-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy groups; enhancing individual therapeutic care (improving session structure, developing treatment plans, engaging in psychosocial progress monitoring); and establishing partnerships with community-based mental health agencies to augment available services. Presentations will be accompanied by the provision of resources and engagement in activities to foster and support implementation.

Membership Information

Most MPY webinars are available to ONLY current employees of member districts and organizations. Public school memberships include police and fire personnel. Former and retired employees, members of committees including but not limited to PTO/PTA, PAC, School Improvement Councils, Health Councils, Drug/Alcohol Councils and school volunteers are not considered MPY members.

PDPs and CEUs
PDPs are offered for all MPY professional development webinars. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours. Any combination of webinars an individual attends will be used to accumulate PDPs. 
PDPs certificates will be issued at the end of the school year for all MPY webinars an individual attends during this school year. PDPs can only be issued to participants who have attended the webinars and submitted the appropriate paperwork. PDP certificates will be emailed to attendees at the end of the school year.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for clinical staff from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Inc. (MaMHCA). Approval is granted by the NASW and the MaMHCA for each event. Event participants may request CEUs by filling out the request form above.

If you are unable to attend any MPY event after registering, you must cancel online at least 72 hours prior to event. For assistance email Lauren@mpyinc.org.

Professional Development Points (PDPs) are offered for all MPY professional development webinars. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours of training.

Requests for PDPs and CEUs must be submitted within 8 days of the webinar. PDPs and CEUs will only be issued to participants who have attended the webinar(s) and submitted the appropriate paperwork within 8 days of the webinar, with accurate accountability codes.
