Description: 

Being an educator in a 21st Century school is no easy task. It is critical to take care of ourselves, so we can better take care of our students. Participants in this workshop will experience renewal and rejuvenation by developing a sustainable self-care routine. While having the opportunity to examine different approaches and identifying strengths and weaknesses, this workshop will provide participants with the tools and in-depth knowledge needed to become the best version of themselves. 
 

Attendees must register for and participate in all 5 two-hour webinar sessions. A code will given out during each session for accountability purposes. Please hold onto all 5 codes- you will enter them into the PDP/CEU forms. Forms must be completed after the 5th session. PDP/CEU forms are available on the page of the 5th session. You will receive your certificates at the end of the 2020-2021 school year. 

 

Membership Information

MPY webinars are available to ONLY current employees of member districts and organizations. Public school memberships include police and fire personnel. Former and retired employees, members of committees including but not limited to PTO/PTA, PAC, School Improvement Councils, Health Councils, Drug/Alcohol Councils and school volunteers are not considered MPY members.

PDPs and CEUs
PDPs are offered for all MPY professional development webinars. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours. Any combination of webinars an individual attends will be used to accumulate PDPs. All 5 sessions of each 10 Hour Webinar must be attended in order to receive 10 PDPs.
PDPs certificates will be issued at the end of the school year for all MPY conferences an individual attends during this school year. PDPs can only be issued to participants who have attended the webinars and submitted the appropriate paperwork. PDP certificates will be emailed to attendees.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for clinical staff, upon approval from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). CEUs are no longer available through the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Inc. (MaMHCA). Approval is granted by the NASW for each event. Event participants may request CEUs by filling out the appropriate paperwork.
