10 Hour Webinar -Why Are We Losing This Generation To Substance Use and Mental Health?: Session 4

April 29th, 2021

Sessions: December 10, 2020, February 25, March 4, April 29, May 6, 2021

Speakers: Michelle D. Lipinski, M.Ed., Principal, Northshore Recovery High School; Sara Burd, M.A., R.D.T., Director of Social Emotional Learning and Guidance, Arlington Public Schools

Description: Pandemic or not, we must fight to keep them in our schools and communities. Here’s how...

"Say no to drugs" used to be the mantra we were all trained to repeat in protection of our young minds. That, along with fashionable DARE T-shirts and images of fried eggs representing "your brain on drugs" were the most common approaches to teaching young people about substance use back in the 90s.  But slogans, t-shirts and memes are not going to save this generation; real human connections will. This workshop will focus on evidence-based, scientifically proven approaches.

Attendees must register for and participate in all 5 two-hour webinar sessions. A code will given out during each session for accountability purposes. Please hold onto all 5 codes- you will enter them into the PDP/CEU forms. Forms must be completed after the 5th session. PDP/CEU forms are available on the page of the 5th session. You will receive your certificates at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
