Speaker: LaTrice Lyle, M.Ed., Harvard Graduate School of Education; Founder and Principal Consultant, EDQuity Consulting
In this workshop, educators will explore project-based learning as an educational method through which social justice can be taught effectively. Additionally, educators will design a project relative to their teaching context.
About the Speaker
Where hustle meets heart. Education transformer with a deep commitment to developing and sustaining community schools and systems. Deft at concurrently learning and implementing research-based educational strategies, specifically focused on work through the lenses of diversity, equity, and inclusion in K12 education. An ardent leader who believes in collective impact today that leads to systemic change tomorrow. LaTrice was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. With a love for servant leadership from an early age, LaTrice was always finding solutions to social problems that presented themselves in her schools and neighborhood. In high school, she led and served in several student organizations, including the Teacher Cadet Program. A program designed to develop aspiring educators before they entered college. She continued this work at the University of Georgia where she was the recipient of several scholarships including the annual Charter Scholarship for reflecting the Philosophy Statement of admissions. LaTrice currently serves on the UGA FACS Alumni Board of Directors. LaTrice leads EDquity Consulting with over eight years of experience in education. She has served in classroom and leadership positions in Atlanta, GA, Miami, FL, and the Greater Boston Area, MA. She has graduate degrees in education and school leadership from Johns Hopkins University and Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Most MPY webinars are available to ONLY current staff from member districts and organizations. Public school memberships include police and fire personnel. Former and retired employees and members of committees, including but not limited to, PTO/PTA, PAC, School Improvement Councils, Health Councils, Drug/Alcohol Councils, and school volunteers, are not considered MPY members.
PDPs and CEUs
MPY is an approved Professional Development Provider through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (F20180079 provider number). Professional Development Points (PDPs) are offered for all MPY professional development webinars. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours of training.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for clinical staff from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Inc. (MaMHCA). The NASW and the MaMHCA approves each event. Event participants may request CEUs by filling out the request form above.
Requests for PDPs and CEUs must be submitted within 8 days of the webinar. PDPs and CEUs will only be issued to participants who have attended the webinar(s) and submitted the appropriate paperwork within 8 days of the webinar, with accurate accountability codes.
PDP and CEU certificates will be emailed to attendees at the end of the school year.
