REMOTE WORKSHOP- Measuring Psychosocial Progress: Developing Evidence-based Treatment Plans and IEP Service Delivery

Description: This session will provide an overview of the implementation of psychosocial progress monitoring practices in Methuen, MA, including a discussion regarding how these practices can serve to support evidence-based therapeutic services and adjustments to therapeutic practice. Resources to support the selection of psychosocial progress monitoring tools and the design of treatment plans will also be provided, and significant attention will be paid to special education service delivery for social emotional goals, including a discussion regarding common practices across the state and suggestions for the development of IEP service delivery that aligns with evidence-based therapeutic practice. Lastly, how these data inform the evaluation and sustainability of a comprehensive school mental health system (CSMHS) will be offered.

Membership Information

Member rates for MPY events are available to current employees of member organizations. Public school memberships include police and fire personnel. Former and retired employees, members of committees including but not limited to PTO/PTA, PAC, School Improvement Councils, Health Councils, Drug/Alcohol Councils and school volunteers are not considered MPY members.

PDPs and CEUs
PDPs are offered for all MPY professional development conferences. PDPs are issued for a minimum of 10 hours. Any combination of events an individual attends will be used to accumulate PDPs. They will not have to be linked, as previously required.

PDPs certificates will be issued at the end of the school year for all MPY conferences an individual attends during this school year. PDPs can only be issued to participants who have attended the events and submitted the appropriate paperwork. PDP certificates will be emailed to attendees.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for clinical staff, upon approval from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association, Inc. (MaMHCA). Approval is granted by the NASW and MaMHCA separately for each event. Event participants may request CEUs by filling out the appropriate paperwork.
