Description

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) impact multiple areas of functioning, demanding a multidisciplinary approach to screening, assessment, and diagnosis. With the prevalence of ASD on the rise, accurate early detection is critical to facilitate intervention. With an increasing number of individuals with intact cognition and language (especially females), practitioners also need to be aware of the more subtle symptoms and co-occurring conditions that can mask the underlying social disability. This workshop will help practitioners identify, assess, and diagnose symptoms of ASD from early childhood through adulthood using a comprehensive developmental approach to evaluation, focusing on state-of-the-art measures and standards of best practice in the field.
