For this webinar series, participants will automatically be enrolled in all 5 sessions.

Speaker

Lisa A. Kingkade, LMHC, M.Ed.

Description

This 5-part webinar series equips educators and school teams to transform student behavior through evidence-based social-emotional learning (SEL) practices. Participants will gain practical tools to identify the root causes of behavior, apply research-informed interventions, and proactively support students in developing self-regulation and coping skills. Through a focus on data-driven decision-making and consistent implementation, educators will learn how to reduce challenging behaviors, increase student engagement, and foster long-term resilience.

This session introduces a research-based framework for understanding student behavior as communication. Participants will explore how trauma, stress, and skill deficits impact behavior and learn how to identify root causes using structured, evidence-informed approaches.

This session focuses on the science of emotional regulation and its direct impact on behavior. Educators will learn evidence-based co-regulation strategies to de-escalate situations, prevent behavioral disruptions, and support students in developing self-regulation skills.

This session provides practical, research-supported interventions that improve student behavior in real time. Participants will learn how to embed SEL into daily routines, explicitly teach coping and problem-solving skills, and reinforce positive behavioral outcomes.

This session examines the behavioral impact of anxiety, including avoidance and school refusal. Educators will learn structured, evidence-based strategies to reduce avoidance behaviors, support gradual re-engagement, and respond effectively without reinforcing anxiety-driven patterns

This session focuses on creating consistent, evidence-based systems that support positive behavior across the school environment. Participants will explore how data, staff alignment, and proactive practices contribute to sustainable improvements in student behavior and overall school climate.
