While working in schools can be deeply meaningful and rewarding, it can also be emotionally, cognitively, and physically demanding. Educators regularly balance competing responsibilities, navigate challenging conversations, and support others while managing their own stress. Without effective coping skills, these demands can contribute to burnout and compassion fatigue. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offers practical and highly effective skills that can help educators build resilience, regulate emotions, communicate more effectively, and stay grounded in the midst of daily challenges. In this seminar, participants will learn and practice numerous DBT skills that can be applied immediately in the classroom and beyond. Together, we’ll explore strategies for managing stress, navigating difficult interactions with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators, setting healthy boundaries, and cultivating greater presence and satisfaction in both work and life. Participants will leave with practical tools to strengthen emotional resilience, enhance interpersonal effectiveness, and reconnect with the joy and purpose that brought them to education in the first place.
