Effective August 2026, Massachusetts’ updated time-out and seclusion regulations will narrow the circumstances under which schools may rely on crisis-driven behavioral interventions. This virtual seminar examines how the new regulations underscore the need for stronger Tier 1 emotion regulation systems and a more intentional use of teacher–student relationships as a primary classroom management strategy. Participants will learn effective, proactive classroom systems designed to prevent crisis behaviors and support students in accessing their education in the least restrictive environment.
