Val Dimiri, Ph.D, BCBA-D, LBA
Description
This CE event is designed for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who work in school settings and want to learn more about using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with their students. ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy approach that focuses on helping individuals accept their thoughts and emotions while committing to actions that align with their values. In a school setting, ACT can be a powerful tool for helping students regulate their emotions, improve social skills, and achieve academic success. Participants will learn the core principles of ACT and how to apply them in a school setting. By the end of the workshop, participants will have a practical understanding of how to integrate ACT into their work as school BCBAs and support the social-emotional well-being of their students.
