Speaker

Ryan Baker-Barrett, MS, BCBA, Applied Behavioral Health Practice

Description

This presentation will challenge traditional ABA approaches to ADHD by reframing it as a complex, multidimensional condition significantly impacting executive function. Participants will learn how to move beyond compliance-based interventions and leverage their behavioral expertise, guided by the “7 Dimensions of ADHD Intervention,” to promote meaningful skill development in individuals with ADHD across various settings (school, home, clinic). Interactive elements will encourage reflection and application of these principles.

About the Speaker

Ryan Baker-Barrett (Knighton) (he/him) is the founder of Applied Behavioral Health Practice (ABHP), a behavioral health practice he launched in August 2024. His mission is to provide science-backed, practical support for individuals with ADHD. Based in San Diego, Ryan draws on over a decade of experience working in school systems across the country including Utah, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, where he primarily supported middle and high school students. His work in schools made it clear how urgent the need is for providers who truly understand ADHD. Today, he combines behavioral expertise with lived experience to help families, educators, and professionals navigate the realities of ADHD with clarity and compassion.
