The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) and Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth (MPY) are co-sponsoring the 2023 Student Leadership Conference: Learning to Lead. This conference is designed for middle and high school students looking to enhance and practice effective leadership
Deb Hult and Trevor Hult from Core Trainings will lead workshops utilizing an active learning approach that is facilitator led and participant driven. A focus on the power of decision making, and the ripple effect it has on you, your daily living, and those within your sphere of influence will be reinforced. Participants will explore the roles, responsibilities and different forms of leadership including relational leadership, formal vs. informal leadership, as well as how to build meaningful and intentional relationships with others. This conference is designed to enhance leadership potential, increase self-worth, promote healthy life choices and build intellectually stronger young people through a value-based focus.

- Positive Decision Making
- Personal Development
- Leadership as a learned skill
- Making healthy decisions that support positive mental health and build self-worth
- The importance of social and emotional intelligence
