WAKEFIELD — Executive Director Margie Daniels of the Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth (MPY) is proud to announce that several students from across the Commonwealth have been chosen as winners of this year’s annual poster project.

The winners were chosen from a pool of 145 entries from 22 different schools across Massachusetts. MPY has hosted the poster project since 2009 to engage students on important topics and provide a platform for their voices.

This year’s theme, “CommUNITY,” focused on the importance of actively participating in a community and joining together to achieve great things. Students were challenged to explore ideas of community through volunteering projects, visiting a local senior center, inviting a neighbor to a meal, or cleaning up a local street or park.

“The theme of ‘CommUNITY’ encourages students to consider what the idea means to them and how they can foster a sense of community in their own lives,” Executive Director Daniels said. “Students were encouraged to be active community members and positively impact their community and school. This year’s submissions were introspective and creative, and I am grateful to recognize these students for their talent and hard work.”
